When confronted, the man became aggressive and made unusual claims, stating that he was a police officer also the adopted son of Joko Widodo (president of Indonesia at that time).

The incident gained even more traction after responses from the president’s family. Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the eldest son of Joko Widodo, reacted on Twitter with a short phrase in Sundanese: “Saha eta?” means "Who is that?"
This was humorously followed by a reply from Kaesang Pangarep, third son of mr President Jokowi:“Itu kakak kita mas, lupa ya?” means "That’s our older brother, did you forget?"
These interactions quickly went viral and generated widespread humorous responses from Indonesian netizens.

It was eventually revealed that the man was experiencing a mental health disorder. He had a condition that caused delusions and memory issues.
